Boxing Love with Shakespeare's Women
Theatre and Art collide in a "theartrical" explosion of the senses when Apotheque Lifestyle Spa becomes the stage for Theatre Arts West's "Boxing Love with Shakespeare's Woman." The delectables of some of Oceanside's locally crafted culinary artisans, as well as potions of the spa itself, will become characters in this production that will take audiences from balcony to garden rooms, whose histories date back to the boom of the 1880's. The stage will be set with some of Shakespeare's most famous lovers, including Frida Khalo, Napoleon and Josephine, as well as new characters penned by Southern California playwrights and a composer, whom were inspired by the art of Oceanside artist, Blake Kern!
Performance Dates & Times:
February 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th at 7:30 p.m.
February 7th and 14th at 4:00 p.m.
Admission:
Tickets are $25 & include the performance, a gallery exhibition, a gift bag, champagne (Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday performances), or tea and sherry (Sunday performances).

Valentine Cooking Class
Want to learn how to cook up something new and fabulous for your significant other or loved ones? Join Executive Chef, Kaitlin Bandy, from Mission San Luis Rey on February 11th from 6:30pm – 8:00 pm! She has prepared a special Valentine's Day themed menu and will be teaching a cooking class not to be missed!
Kaitlin is a San Diego native and graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Las Vegas. After spending three years with Wolfgang Puck in Las Vegas, she moved back to San Diego as the Executive Chef at St. Germain's Cafe & Bistro in Encinitas, CA, and is now the Executive Chef for Mission San Luis Rey!
