Happy Valentine's Week Oceanside! Whether you are spending your Valentine's Day with your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, children, good friend, or even by yourself, there is a ton for you to do on Sunday, Valentine's Day. Oceanside is an active community so we are excited to announce 3 active events happening on Valentine's Day to get you out and about in our gorgeous town, spreading the love and having a great time doing so!

Oceanside Valentine 5K
The Oceanside Valentine 5k is a romantic, Valentine-themed fun run and walk for all ages with over 30 award categories if you're looking to show your Valentine speed. It starts and finishes near the Oceanside Pier followed by food, refreshments, beer/wine garden, music and fun at City Hall.
Bring your Valentine, create a team of friends, family and co-workers or bring yourself and enjoy the incredible views and the celebration afterwards.
Walk/Run on the gorgeous Oceanside Pier and the Strand right next to the beach. Finish with chocolates and bubbly from So Rich Chocolates and Bon Affair. Take a photo by the nation's biggest inflatable heart, go for one of the 30 age group award categories, get unique Valentine finisher beanies and bracelets, bring your costume for fun awards and enjoy food and drink at the Expo and Beer/Wine Garden.

Valentine's Day Paddle Out
Celebrate Valentine's Day with the SUP Chicks who will be hosting a special "Singing in the Rain" Valentine's Day paddle (as in, paddle takes place rain or shine). Bring your significant other, friend, family member, anyone and join this free event and paddle out with some cool people. Attendees will be meeting at Jolly Roger at 8:30am and the paddle out will begin at 9:00am. Bring your stand up paddle board, wear pink and/or red to represent Valentine's Day, a big smile and get ready to have some fun!

Oceanside Valentine Ride
Celebrate Valentine's Day riding your bike with the ones you love! The Oceanside Valentine Ride has three routes to choose from, including a 5, 14 and 25 mile ride. All rides start and finish near Oceanside City Hall with ride routes running near the beach. Following the ride, there will be food, refreshments, beer/wine garden, music and fun at City Hall.
Bring yourself and/or bring your Valentine and create a team of friends, family and co-workers. Enjoy the incredible views and the celebration afterwards complete with sparkling wine, chocolate and more at the finish line. This Valentine-themed fun ride is designed for all ages.
Costume Contest: All attendees are invited to dress up in a costume. Awards and prizes will be given to the best costumes during the celebration at City Hall.

The City of Oceanside's Zero Waste Team is Spreading Love for the Planet throughout Oceanside Valentine's Week! Stop by their booth to share your comments about a Plastic Bag Single Use Carryout Ordinance in Oceanside and receive a "Love Your Planet Not Plastic" reusable bag. More info: Green Oceanside.
