Oceanside Season of Giveaways

Visit Oceanside and the California Welcome Center-Oceanside are spreading holiday cheer from November 23rd to December 28, 2015 by giving away gift certificates to Oceanside businesses, hotels and attractions.
Participants have TWO chances every TUESDAY in December to win awesome prizes. The giveaway series includes:
- 10 PRIZES (2 prizes given away every week in December)
- 1 GRAND PRIZE: 2 Night Stay at SpringHill Suites Oceanside
There are TWO ways to play!!!
1- California Welcome Center-Oceanside
Stop by the California Welcome Center–Oceanside from November 23, 2015 to December 28, 2015 to enter into the drawing. A winner will be announced every Tuesday in December 2015. No purchase necessary to participate. Some restrictions may apply*
Prizes include:
- $25 gift certificate to Beach Break Cafe
- Certificate for 2 people to go Whale Watching with Oceanside Adventures
- 1-hour double kayak or SUP rental from Oceanside Boat Rental
- $25 gift certificate to Petite Madeline Bakery

2- @VisitOceanside Scavenger Hunt
Participate in a social media scavenger hunt! Each Tuesday in December, a clue will be shared as to where a gift certificate is hiding. The first person to find the certificate wins!
Don’t worry if you are not the first person to find the certificate, if you stop by the secret location during that business day, you can enter to win the grand prize and will receive a clue for the next week’s secret location.
How to play:
- Every Tuesday in December look for a scavenger clue
- Use clue to go to the participating Oceanside Business
- Find “special” Oceanside memorabilia
- Take picture with memorabilia and post to Facebook and/or Instagram with #OceansideGiveaway
- **First person to find the clue will get that week’s giveaway
- ***All others will be entered into grand prize giveaway via their social media post
- Read clue onsite to help decipher where the next week’s secret location will be
How to win:
- Be the first person to locate the secret item and you will get the gift certificate for that week.
- Take a picture with the secret item, post to social accounts with #OceansideGiveaway to be entered into Grand Prize Drawing.
Follow @VisitOceanside on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram to receive clues on where the next prize will be hidden.
Contest Terms and Conditions:
Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
California Welcome Center – Oceanside giveaway: Visitors need to complete an entry form for consideration. Each visitor can submit only ONE entry per day. Only one winner will be selected per household. Entries will be accepted November 23rd- December 28th, 2015. Giveaways will begin on December 1st and will conclude on December 29th. The giveaway is for visitors to the California Welcome Center-Oceanside ONLY and does not include Visit Oceanside staff or volunteers. The California Welcome Center-Oceanside is located at 928 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside CA 92054. For questions, call 760-721-1101.
@VisitOceanside Scavenger Hunt: Each Tuesday in December, a gift certificate to an Oceanside restaurant or attraction will be hidden in or around the participating business and the public is invited to hunt for the gift certificate for a chance to win. Only one gift certificate is available per scavenger hunt and will be awarded to the first person that finds the certificate or secret item. Participants are invited to stop by the participating location during that business day to receive a clue to the following week’s hidden location. Use hashtag #OceansideGiveaway to be entered into a grand prize drawing.
The grand prize drawing will take place on December 30th and the winner will be contacted within 3 business days of the drawing. The grand prize includes a 2 night stay to the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Oceanside.
