Big Waves & Skate History at the California Surf Museum

Attention Surf and Skate enthusiasts: There are can’t miss events in October and November 2015 at the California Surf Museum!.

TRACKER – 40 years of Skateboard History Book Signing is October 24th starting at 6 pm:

The book signing and reunion will be held at The California Surf Museum, in Oceanside. TRACKER-Forty Years of Skateboarding History, is a 388 page, hardcover book full of Tracker history, stories, photos, and more, all by Tracker workers, professional riders and photographers who made Tracker the icon it has become. Tracker Fultrack was the first truck made for skateboarding, by skateboarders. The “Trucks You Can Trust,” are the four words that continue to be the driving force for the brand.

Professional skater, Christian Hosoi said, “The Tracker book is so important because future generations will be able to learn about skateboarding history-who was involved with it, and how it all happened. It will blow their minds.”

The California Surf Museum’s 8th Annual GALA Fundraiser is on November 21st, from 4 pm – 10 pm:

The GALA fundraiser will be held at The Springhill Suites Marriot in Oceanside. Mingle with fellow surf enthusiasts and surf legends, enjoy a beautiful dinner, wonderful drinks and be a part of something truly special.

This year’s Gala will be honoring big wave rider, Greg Noll, the first surfer to ever conquer the humongous waves of Waimea Bay, on Oahu’s North Shore. The event will begin with a silent auction, appetizers, and cocktails, followed by an ocean view deck, sunset dinner with a live auction and presentations. Jim Kempton, President of the California Surf Museum says of the event, “This gala is truly something special. Not only will we have some of the best big wave riders in the world attending, we will have Greg Noll and his family here will all the friends and celebrities that come with it. I can’t remember an event at our museum with as much excitement and history as this promises to have.”
