Monday, December 21:
Garden of Lights
The San Diego Botanic Garden’s invites you to attend the 2015 Garden of Lights celebration from December 5-23 and 26-30. After the sun goes down, the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas is transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland! More than 125,000 sparkling lights illuminate the flora of this fantastic 37-acre urban oasis each evening from 5 – 9 pm for a magical holiday experience.

Teen Star Wars Holiday Party

Trivia Night
Join Trivia Night at Local Tap House and Kitchen and test your trivia knowledge every Tuesday starting at 7:00 p.m. Local Tap House & Kitchen is rated one of the best new places in Oceanside. Lots of craft brews, craft cocktails, and great food! Don’t forget to check out the patio area!

Open Mic Night
Come down to Legacy Brewing Co. for Open Mic Night hosted by Bob Peace every Tuesday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Starting at 5pm, $1.50 tacos are served by El Pueblo Catering. Enjoy one free beer by getting on stage to perform, or just come down to support other local talent. Either way, it’s a great night of fun and entertainment.

Irving Berlin’s ‘White Christmas’

Farmers Market

Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Mission San Luis Rey
Explore areas of Mission San Luis Rey that are not normally open to the public; including the private rose gardens and the pepper tree. The special behind-the-scenes tour is available most weekends beginning at 1 pm. Docents provide interesting historical facts and stories about the Historic Church, the cemetery and the site in general.

Live Music: South Wind, Planet X
Celebrate Saturday night after Christmas while you are downtown in Oceanside with LIVE Music at the Pour House on December 26 starting at 5:00 pm with local band, South Wind. They can’t wait to rock your world with Classic Rock, Funk, Blues, and Reggae. Then, hang around till 10:00 pm for Planet X as they return to the Pour House with more Classic Rock, Funk, 60’s Rock and some Johnny Cash favorites.

Saturday, December 26:
Oceanside Christmas Bird Count
Join the Buena Vista Audubon Center birders for a special Christmas bird count at Buena Vista Lagoon on Sunday, December 27. This event has been sponsored by BVAS since 1950 and has become an area annual cherished tradition. Everyone, regardless of your level of expertise, is invited to join the group for some informal, no-pressure birding and lots of friendly tips. Over 130 birders joined in the surveying and count last year.
