George Hood Sets World Record By Planking More Than 5 Hours

57-year old George Hood of Carlsbad CA recently set a new world record when he planked for 5 hours and 15 minutes, beating the previous Guinness World Record of 4 hours and 26 minutes set by by Mao Weidong of Beijing. Hood accomplished “The People’s Plank” to help raise money to benefit the Semper Fi Fund for injured Marines, and the event was held at the Junior Seau Amphitheatre in Oceanside.
