Running Events in San Diego County, May 2015
San Diego, California is a fit city where we love to be outdoors, take hikes, try the newest workout routines, and stay healthy. Since that is the case, San Diego running events are always easy to find, and there are definitely some fun San Diego runs to participate in. Here are two that are happening in San Diego County this month.

Yucatan Guacamole Avocado Half Marathon & 5K | Fallbrook, May 23rd
Fallbrook, CA is known as “Avocado Country” and this new, scenic run will take you through the beautiful Fallbrook countryside, the rolling hills, and the lovely outdoors of San Diego County.
This is the 2nd Annual Yucatan Guacamole Avocado Half Marathon & 5K, but despite the fact that it is so new, this run is quickly becoming a hit! This year, their Charitable Partnership is with Fueled by the Fallen, whose mission is to “honor the military and those public services agents that have lost their life protecting us and this great country”.
Although the 5K is sold out, the half marathon still has open spots available, so if you’re interested, be sure to register ASAP!

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon | San Diego – May 29th – 31st
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon are not just running events; they are amazing experiences. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series starts on May 29th with a two-day Health & Fitness Expo at the San Diego Convention Center, an event not only for participants but also open and free to the public.
May 30th kicks off the first race, the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego 5K, and May 31st is the Suja Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon & 1/2 Marathon To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This May weekend will be filled with health-conscious individuals, runners of all kinds, great health information, and a lots of fun!
