Running Events in San Diego County, June 2015
A recent report released by the American College of Sports Medicine lists San Diego CA as the third fittest city in the U.S. so of course it stands to reason that San Diego would always be chock-full of fun, fitness-related activities to partake in! Take a look at a couple of great long distance runs that are coming up in June 2015.
World Famous Mud Run | Camp Pendleton, June 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th
The World Famous Mud Run on Camp Pendleton is an Oceanside CA tradition. As the world’s dirtiest party, the Mud Run features challenging 10K and 5K runs with rolling hills, river crossings, two 5-foot walls, three massive mud pits, tunnels, slippery hill, a cargo climb and much more! Participants experience a day in Marine Corps life hanging with the few and the proud. Come for the run and stay for the fun at the Filthy Fun Fest!
The World Famous Mud Run, presented by First Command, is happy to announce that it is Drought-Conscious! Dr. Bronner’s New Magic Soap Shower Experience saves over 87% of water usage, and water is recycled back to Camp Pendleton’s aquifers.

Wild Horse Trail Half Marathon & 10K | Chula Vista, June 14th
The Wild Horse Trail Half Marathon is brought to you by Dirt Devil Racing and is the second race in both the Dirt Devil Racing Trail Half Marathon Series and the second in the Progressive Series. You will have the opportunity to run the flat course with beautiful views of Otay Lakes in Chula Vista, home of the Untied States Olympic Training Center. Then after the run, be sure to stay for the Awards Ceremony & Post Race Breakfast, being held on site with pizza bring provided.
Note that registration closes Thursday, June 4th at 12am.
